CHARACTERISTICS OF 'PAMA' ALUMINA BALLS

While manufacturing these catalyst supports, properties like chemical configuration, maximum service temperature, apparent porosity, water absorption, individual ball density, bulk density, cold compression strength, pyrometric cone equivalentare controlled to get the desired specifications of the end users.

» The Alumina refractory bed supports are specially useful as inert catalyst support in secondary reforming of ammonia manufacturing plants and also in oil refineries and chemical process industries.

» These Alumina Balls are characterized by high strength and chemical/thermal resistance without any undesired side reaction and loss of selectivity.

Alumina Balls

» Alumina balls when used as bed toppings and supports will act as filters to remove many impurities from the gas stream and help in uniform distribution of the feed gas.

» Presence of Alumina Balls at the top and bottom of the catalyst bed, keep the bed intact during pressure fluctuation

» They can withstand high thermal shocks and are unaffected by repeated emergency shutdown and startups.
